Bhopal Marks Martyrs’ Day: Two Minute Silence at Collectorate, Commissioner’s Office
Government and private offices and institutions join nation in paying homage to those who laid down their lives in service of the nation

In remembrance of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in India’s struggle for independence, a two-minute silence were observed at both the Collectorate and Divisional Commissioner’s offices in Bhopal on Thursday.
At the Collectorate Office, Additional District Magistrate Prakash Nayak, Deputy Collector Ajay Sharma, and other staff members participated in the silent tribute. Similarly, at the Divisional Commissioner’s office, Joint Commissioner Vinod Yadav, along with officers and staff, paid their respects.
Silence was also observed at city schools, colleges, and offices to mark the occasion, as people across Bhopal paid tribute to those who fought for the nation’s freedom.
On Martyrs’ Day, observed annually on 30th January, India pays homage to the brave individuals who gave their lives in the fight for independence. This day marks the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in 1948 and serves as a reminder of the supreme sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters.
