Changes needed in government mechanism according to present requirements: CM Kamal Nath

Bhopal: The Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that according to the present requirements, changes are must in government mechanism. The
government is working to bring changes in the system of the British era. He further mentioned that system to help, cooperate and support
common man should be introduced. This is our target.
Kamal Nath said that Commissioners and Collectors are face of the government at division and district level. Both the officers are nodal
points between the government and public, hence their role is important. We would be able establish good governance in the state, when
immediate justice is served to the weaker and poor section of the society. The Chief Minister was addressing the Commissioner-Collector
conference at Mantralaya on Wednesday. The Chief Secretary SR Mohanty was present at the conference.
He further mentioned that the thinking of the new government is clear. The common man should not face difficulties owing to the rules and
laws. The District Collectors are required to ensure that those who are deprived should get benefits of government’s schemes. The Chief
Minister reiterated that the Commissioners and Collectors are nodal point of the government mechanism. It is their primary responsibilty to
ensure better mutual coordination bewteen various departments, he added.
