CM greets Nitya Pandey for Kalpana Chawla Scholarship
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel extended greetings to Nitya Pandey, resident of Kondagaon, tribal district for being the Dr Kalpana Chawla Scholar recipient 2019 as announced by the International Space University, France. The university had named four Indian-origin women as honourees and Nitya is one among them.
Baghel said the success has not only brought laurel to Chhattisgarh but to the country.
The university had established the Kalpana Chawla Project for Innovation, entrepreneurism and space studies to honour the Indian American astronaut Dr Kalpana Chawla. The scholarship project is focused on developing strong technical and leadership qualities within talented Indian women.
Nitya did her schooling in home town and is B.Sc with physics, chemistry and mathematics and later did her Masters in Science with physics, and a specialisation in astronomy and astrophysics.
