CM unveils beautified Rajiv Gandhi Chowk

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday unveiled a beautified statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and the Rajiv Gandhi Chowk (Square) virtually at an event held at his residence-cum-office.

Raipur Smart City Ltd, in association with the Municipal Corporation, has given a new look to the statue of the former Prime Minister, giving the site an attractive look.

Friday marked the 30th death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi, who was Prime Minister from 1984 to 1989.

Raipur Smart City Ltd and the Municipal Corporation have given the site a grand appearance.

The statue of Gandhi has been painted with special deco paint. The site has been illuminated in tricolor with Thematic RGBs based lighting. Landscaping, granite work, focus lighting and luminous lighting have added to the attraction.
