Congress leader dies of heart attack during Surya Namaskar event at Chhindwara
BHOPAL: The Congress party’s Chhindwara unit’s district vice-president Pradeep Saxena died due to heart attack while participating in ‘Surya Namaskar’ event in Chhindwara on Saturday.
Saxena was district vice-president of the Congress unit in Chhindwara which is the home district of chief minister Kamal Nath.
Pradeep Saxena complained of illness while participating in the event.
“At around 10am, he complained of illness and was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead due to cardiac arrest,” Chhindwara SP Manoj Rai said.
It is noteworthy that since year 2009, ‘Surya Namaskar’ is observed every year on January 12, on National Youth Day, all across the state.
Deceased Pradeep Saxena was also the former chairman of the MP food and civil supplies corporation. He was an influential Congress leader in the district.
