Cops Use Night-Vision Drone to Track Rape Accused in Harda

Police officials in Harda district in madhya Pradesh used a drone with cat eyes on Friday to recce a forested area in search of a fugitive who was on the run since the rape of a five-year-old girl on September 22.

The drone, equipped with a night-vision camera, was requisitioned from the state-run Electronic Development Corporation.

The idea for an aerial reconaisance took shape after the police failed to locate the alleged rapist despite several raids at his hide-outs and police sources said that the man may be hiding in the jungle for fear of police action.

The girl was found unconscious a day after the accused lured the child away and sexually assaulted her before taking to the bush.
