Urging officials to ensure swift completion of ongoing infrastructure projects, Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh, on Friday, set the first week of June as the deadline for completion of all construction work.
Singh, the top bureaucrat in the region, was reviewing the progress of infrastructure projects in the division at a meeting with officials.
Key officials at the meeting included Joint Commissioner Vinod Yadav, Senior Engineer (RES) Sajjan Singh Chauhan, and Executive Engineers from all districts.
Singh closely reviewed the construction of vital infrastructure such as Panchayat buildings, projects funded by the 15th Finance Commission, MGNREGA schemes, the Chief Minister’s Road and Infrastructure Development Plan, and community buildings.
He stressed the need for transparency and accountability in the construction process, urging the timely and efficient completion of all projects.
Singh also directed officials to address incomplete and delayed projects within the specified time frame. He instructed Executive Engineers and Section Engineers to regularly inspect works to ensure quality and efficiency. Moreover, he called for a strong monitoring system to track the progress of the construction projects.
Particularly, Singh highlighted the importance of completing Anganwadi building constructions without delay, as these facilities are crucial for the welfare of children and mothers in rural areas.
He urged Women and Child Development Officers and RES Department officials to coordinate effectively and ensure timely project completion.
With these clear directives, the Commissioner aims to ensure that key infrastructure projects are delivered before the onset of the monsoon, improving the lives of citizens across the division and reaffirming the government’s commitment to efficient execution.
