Gangajal distribution continues on Sunday
The move brings holy water to residents' doorsteps

Bhopal
The state capital witnessed a remarkable spiritual initiative over the weekend as Gangajal from the Prayagraj Mahakumbh was distributed door-to-door in several areas, reaching nearly 23,000 homes.
This distribution was a part of an effort to bring the sacred waters of the Mahakumbh to local residents, especially those unable to travel to the event in Prayagraj.
The Gangajal distribution began on Saturday, when Minister Vishwas Sarang personally oversaw the delivery in 17 wards across the Narela Assembly.
The holy water was brought in tankers from the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj and delivered free of charge to homes in areas like Ashoka Garden, Dwarka Nagar, and other parts of the assembly.
In a symbolic ceremony at Narmada Parikrama Park in Ashoka Garden, Minister Sarang performed a special ritual to bless the distribution chariots before sending them on their way.
Speaking about the significance of the Mahakumbh, Minister Sarang emphasized its importance in Sanatan Dharma, describing it as the largest and most sacred religious event that attracts millions of devotees from around the world. The water was bottled and distributed to households to allow everyone to partake in the blessings of the sacred river.
On Sunday, the distribution continued in the Private Bijli Nagar Colony in Govindpura. Local residents, guided by Ward Councillor Ashok Vani, gathered to help distribute Gangajal to the people of the colony.
This continued initiative not only ensured that even more residents could receive the holy water but also demonstrated the widespread enthusiasm for the Mahakumbh’s spiritual significance.
The event was attended by several local dignitaries, including Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai, as well as prominent residents like BS Rajput, Sanjay Kushwaha, Madhav Singh Dangi, and Vinay Shukla, who all lent their support to the cause.
This collective effort reflects a sense of community and shared faith, as the people of Bhopal come together to ensure that everyone, regardless of circumstances, can experience the purity and spiritual merit of the Gangajal from the Mahakumbh.
