MANIT is making a real difference in rural education through Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), a government initiative connecting colleges with villages. Their latest outreach at Government Middle School in Kharpa village on the margins of the state capital gave students a glimpse into new learning opportunities.

As a regional coordinator, MANIT has taken twelve villages under its wing, focusing on education, women’s empowerment, agriculture, health, and technical development. On Saturday, UBA team members Vidhi Sharma and Yadla Dhanunjaya led an interactive session, helping students navigate career options and academic challenges through discussions and hands-on activities.

MANIT students engaged in candid chats with schoolkids, understanding their struggles and aspirations. Many were curious about higher education, and the team provided career guidance, motivating them to dream big despite financial or social hurdles. The message was clear—no obstacle is too big if you believe in yourself.

Learning was made fun with interactive lessons on arithmetic and geography. A drawing competition added a creative spark, with certificates for the top three participants. These activities not only boosted confidence but also encouraged healthy competition, making students more excited about education.

Girls received special attention, with volunteers offering one-on-one guidance to keep them motivated in their studies. Essential school supplies were distributed, ensuring they had the basics to continue learning. The goal was simple—help them stay in school, believe in their potential, and push past challenges.

Beyond the classrooms, the UBA team met with teachers to discuss student welfare. They explored ways to improve learning conditions, strengthen academic support, and ensure students get the encouragement and resources they need to thrive.

UBA Coordinator at MANIT, Pushpendra Yadav reaffirmed their dedication to rural education. He promised more initiatives in adopted villages, ensuring ongoing support, career guidance, and motivation—helping students gain the skills and confidence to create a brighter future.
