People have shown the mirror to Baghel government: Kaushik

Leader of Opposition and former BJP state president Dharamlal Kaushik said the historic win for the party has been possible due to hard work of dedicated workers and blessings of the people.

In 2014, people had voted for (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi’s name and this time they voted for his works.

“Within five months people have shown mirror to Bhupesh government. (Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel-led government). It is a befitting reply to the Congress government. In maximum assembly constituencies, the BJP’s vote percentage is higher, which means defeat for the Congress,” he said.

Raipur South MLA and former minister Brijmohan Agrawal termed it as a victory of nationalist forces, who have accepted the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has paved the path of inclusive development.

He lauded the dedicated party workers for reaching out to people with schemes of Modi government. “Now the country has changed. The voters do not fall for any allurement and they vote only after giving a proper thought. During campaigning, opposition used abusive language against Prime Minister, which had hurt the sentiments of people,” he said.

BJP Scheduled Tribe Cell National president and Rajya Sabha member Ramvichar Netam said it is a mandate for new India. People have restored faith in leadership of Modi.

He hoped that new government will take care of the aspirations of the people of the country and Chhattisgarh. BJP national secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Saroj Pandey said people have voted for the strong leadership and development.

The Opposition had been involved in mud-slinging, appeasement, anti-national activities but people chose development and nationalism.
