Woman shot dead in Datia, accused commits suicide by shooting himself

In Datia, a woman was shot dead by her Nandoi. The brother of the woman was also injured in the rescue. After this, the accused committed suicide by shooting himself. The police have started investigation after taking the statement of the family members.

The incident took place at 11 am on Wednesday in Raruajeevan village of Indergarh police station area. The name of the accused has been told as Rahul. The woman’s brother is admitted in the district hospital.

The accused was pressurizing to withdraw the assault case

According to the police, the woman was married two years ago in Itarora village of Datia. Her husband Kailash runs a Panipuri stall in Pune, Maharashtra. When he returned to the village about six months ago, the woman told him that her father-in-law Phool Singh and Nandoi Rahul Jatav (36) had raped her. The husband did not listen to her. After the dispute, she went to her maternal home.

After this she reached Indergarh police station with her father. However, instead of registering a case under the sections of rape, the police registered a complaint of assault. After some time the woman returned to her in-laws house. When the in-laws started pressurizing her to withdraw the case, she went back to her maternal home.

On Wednesday, the woman’s brother-in-law Rahul Jatav reached her maternal home. Jumping over the back wall of the house, entered inside and shot the woman. When the brother ran to save hearing the sound, he was also shot dead. After this the accused locked himself in the room.
