India-Bangladesh second test: Rain delays second day’s play; Decision on whether the match will be held or not will be taken shortly

The second day’s play of the second test match between India and Bangladesh will start 3 hours late. Actually, it has been raining in Kanpur since Saturday morning. The teams have returned to the hotel from the stadium. The decision on the further match will be taken at 12 noon.

On Friday, September 27, the first day of the match was also called off early due to rain. Only 35 overs could be played. Usually 90 overs are bowled in a day. By the end of the day’s play, Bangladesh has scored 107 runs after losing 3 wickets. Mominul Haque returned unbeaten after scoring 40 runs and Mushfiqur Rahim returned unbeaten after scoring 6 runs.

India is leading 1-0 in the 2 match series. Team India won the toss at Green Park Stadium and chose to bowl. Bangladeshi captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto was dismissed after scoring 31 runs. He was LBW by Ravichandran Ashwin. He broke the fifty partnership of Shanto and Mominul. Earlier, Akash Deep dismissed Shadman Islam (24 runs) and Zakir Hasan (zero).
