Years after retiring from international cricket, Sachin Tendulkar continues to prove that the game remains a part of his everyday life.
The batting legend has won hearts on social media after sharing a light-hearted video of a family cricket match played aboard a private jet. The clip offers a rare glimpse into Tendulkar’s personal life and shows that his love for cricket remains unchanged, whether on the ground or thousands of feet in the air.
“No matter what the altitude, the attitude shouldn’t change,” Tendulkar wrote while sharing the video, a playful reference to his lifelong connection with the sport.
The video shows Tendulkar batting inside the aircraft cabin with a soft red ball. His daughter-in-law, Saaniya Chandhok, bowls to him while his daughter Sara Tendulkar joins the fun as a fielder.
One of the most entertaining moments comes when Sara appeals for his wicket after a delivery. Tendulkar quickly responds with a smile and a challenge.
“You’ll never be able to get me out. You’ll never be able to get me out,” he says, drawing laughter from family members inside the cabin.
The former India captain then raises the challenge further by turning his bat upside down and continuing to play.
“Only way, there is a remote possibility if I bat like this,” he jokes.
A few moments later, Sara gets an opportunity to dismiss her father but drops the catch. The miss sparks another round of laughter before she makes amends on the very next ball, completing the catch and celebrating with an excited “Yay!” as Tendulkar finally accepts defeat.
The video quickly gained traction across social media platforms, with fans praising Tendulkar’s sense of humour and his enduring passion for cricket.
Many users pointed out that cricket appears to follow Tendulkar everywhere. One user joked, “Attitude toh aisa dikha rahe hain jaise 100 international centuries bana ke baithe hain.”
Another user, Akhilesh Kumar Misra, wrote, “Sachin, Bhagwan, may you be granted 1000 years of age. It seems when you reach up there, you’ll turn that into cricket too.”
A third user summed up the mood with a light-hearted comment: “Playing close to God, God.”
The viral clip has once again reminded fans why Tendulkar remains one of the most loved figures in Indian sport. Even in retirement, a family trip can easily turn into a cricket match when the Master Blaster is around.
