Bhopal: Indian Railways has announced four additional trips of the Kanpur Central–Madurai Special Train to accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the festive season. The special service will operate via the Bhopal Division, providing added travel options for passengers travelling between northern and southern India.
According to the railway administration, Train No. 01925 Kanpur Central–Madurai Special will operate four additional services every Wednesday from 5 August to 26 August. The train will depart Kanpur Central at 8:10 am.
The return service, Train No. 01926 Madurai–Kanpur Central Special, will run every Saturday from 8 August to 29 August, completing four additional trips. It will depart Madurai at 2:30 am.
The special train will halt at several major stations, including Pukhrayan, Orai, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Lalitpur, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Ramagundam, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Namakkal, Karur and Dindigul.
Railway officials said the additional services are intended to ease congestion during the festive travel period and improve connectivity between Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Passengers have been advised to verify the latest train schedule, seat availability and reservation status before commencing their journey to avoid inconvenience.
