BHOPAL: Questions have been raised over the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council’s (MPNRC) online registration system after a nursing registration certificate was reportedly issued using a donkey’s photograph and fabricated personal details.
According to media reports, NSUI state vice-president Ravi Parmar submitted a test application to examine how the online system verifies applicants and their documents. He reportedly uploaded a donkey’s photograph and entered the name “Donkey” in the application.

The form allegedly listed “Donkey Father” and “Donkey Mother” in the parents’ name fields, while “Animal” was entered under caste. A false address and fabricated Class 10 and 12 marks and roll numbers were also reportedly provided.
Despite the information, the application was allegedly accepted by the portal. Parmar claimed that after paying a registration fee of Rs 2,050, a nursing registration certificate was issued within minutes.
The application reportedly mentioned Bhopal Nursing College and Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre as training institutions.
NSUI said the incident raises questions about the verification of documents and the reliability of the online registration process. The organisation has demanded an independent technical and administrative inquiry to determine how an application containing such information was approved and a certificate issued.
NSUI has also sought the publication of the inquiry findings and a review of the portal’s verification procedures.
