BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Tuesday honoured winners of state-level painting and speech competitions organised under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026’.
The competitions, held on the theme ‘My Dream India’, were conducted at school, block, district and state levels across more than 41,000 schools. More than five million students from Classes 6 to 12 participated, according to the state government.
Paintings selected from all 55 districts were displayed at a programme held at Model Higher Secondary School in TT Nagar, Bhopal. Yadav also listened to presentations by the top three winners of the state-level speech competition.
Shriiji Mishra of Ashoknagar won first place in the speech competition, followed by Chhavi Mangrolia of Dhar and Rani Rajak of Guna. In the painting competition, Ayush Ahirwar of Narsinghpur secured first place, while Dinu Bopche of Balaghat and Ayushi Siddhi Namdev of Tikamgarh finished second and third.
CM also honoured education officials for their work under the campaign and assured support to a Class 10 student who spoke about difficulties in continuing her education.
The chief minister said the state was taking steps to strengthen school education, including replacing dilapidated school buildings and providing eligible students with scooters, laptops, books and uniforms.
He also said public bus services had resumed after 21 years and announced that 2027 would be observed as the Year of Youth in Madhya Pradesh.
