‘Accept My Boyfriend or Die’: Gwalior Man Claims Wife Attacked Him, Took Children Away

A Gwalior family dispute has triggered a police investigation after a man approached the Superintendent of Police’s office alleging that his wife attacked him during a domestic argument and later left home with their four children.

Rajkumar Kushwah, a resident of Sikandar Kampoo area in Gwalior, claimed that tensions escalated after his wife allegedly insisted that another man, whom she described as her boyfriend, would also live in the same house.

The complainant alleged that when he opposed the arrangement, repeated arguments broke out inside the family home.

“She warned me to accept the situation or face serious consequences,” Rajkumar alleged in his complaint submitted to police officials.

Gwalior family dispute reaches SP office

According to the complaint, Rajkumar and Poonam Kushwah were married in 2008 and have three daughters and one son. He alleged that his wife first left home in January this year and returned nearly two months later.

Rajkumar further claimed that on 5 May an argument turned violent and he suffered a head injury after being attacked during the dispute. He alleged that his wife later left the house with jewellery, cash and all four children.

Photographs from the complaint hearing showed the man arriving at the SP office with a bandaged head while seeking police protection and recovery of the children.

Police verifying allegations

Anuragna Sirsam confirmed that a complaint had been received regarding a domestic dispute involving allegations of assault and missing family members.

Police officials said efforts are underway to locate the woman and children while verifying all allegations made by the complainant.

Authorities clarified that the investigation is at an initial stage and statements from all parties will be examined before drawing conclusions.

Legal experts say family disputes involving serious allegations require balanced investigation and careful verification of evidence from both sides.
