Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said Saturday that his government is committed to providing students with the resources and opportunities needed to achieve their goals.
Speaking at a state-level programme at Subhash School in Bhopal, CM distributed scooters to more than 7,400 meritorious students under the Mukhyamantri Scooty Yojana. He said the scooters were not only a means of transport but also recognition of students’ hard work, talent and achievements.
Students who secure first position in their government school in Class 12 with at least 70% marks in their first attempt are eligible for the scheme.
CM said the government is also providing free textbooks, uniforms and bicycles to help ensure that financial difficulties do not interrupt education. He said opportunities for girls in particular can strengthen families and society.
The chief minister said Madhya Pradesh’s education budget has increased to Rs 38,000 crore for 2025-26. He also highlighted the expansion of Sandipani schools and efforts to improve educational facilities.
During the programme, CM interacted with students about their career plans. Students said they hoped to become chartered accountants, doctors, lawyers, agricultural entrepreneurs and software engineers.
School Education and Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh and other public representatives and officials attended the event.
