BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day will be celebrated on November 1 with the theme “Samriddh Kisan, Samriddh Pradesh”, CM Dr Mohan Yadav said on Monday.
Reviewing preparations at Mantralaya, CM directed officials to focus the celebrations on agricultural development and farmers’ welfare, as 2026 is being observed as Krishak Kalyan Varsh.
CM directed officials to organise exhibitions highlighting advanced and natural farming, agricultural innovations and achievements in the sector. Farmers, entrepreneurs and young people who have introduced innovative practices or made notable contributions to agriculture will also be honoured.
CM called for greater public participation in Foundation Day programmes, which will be organised across all districts. Government buildings will be illuminated on the night of November 1.
The state-level celebration of the 71st Foundation Day will be held at Lal Parade Ground. Exhibitions will showcase Viksit Madhya Pradesh-2047, One District-One Product, traditional arts, temple architecture, heritage-led development and agricultural achievements.
A festival of indigenous cuisine and a Sugam Sangeet programme featuring artists from across the country will also be organised, followed by a fireworks display.
District-level events will showcase local products and achievements. Officials also reviewed arrangements for seating, traffic management and security at the state-level event.
