BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Home Department has transferred eight police officers, including five IPS and three State Police Service officers, according to media reports.
The reshuffle has brought changes to senior police postings in Khandwa, Shajapur, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Bhopal.
Five 2023-batch IPS officers have been promoted from positions such as SDOP, CSP and assistant commissioner of police to the rank of additional superintendent of police. They have been posted in Khandwa, Ujjain, Jabalpur and Gwalior, while one officer has been appointed deputy commissioner of police in Bhopal.
Among the three State Police Service officers, the additional SP in Khandwa has been transferred to Shajapur. The additional SP in Shajapur has been posted as assistant inspector general at Police Headquarters in Bhopal.
Another State Police Service officer, serving as additional deputy commissioner of police in Bhopal, has also been transferred to Police Headquarters as assistant inspector general.
The transfers are part of a wider reshuffle in the state police administration, according to media reports.
