Sagar, Madhya Pradesh: A drug de-addiction awareness programme was organised in Sagar to warn young people and the wider community about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
The event was organised by Kavayan Sahityik and Cultural Institution and Bhasha Tarang. Speakers said drug abuse can damage a person’s physical and mental health and negatively affect families and society.
Advocate Manoj Bhai stressed the need to protect young people from addiction and promote healthy lifestyles. Poet Neeraj Rekwar delivered a message against drug abuse through poetry, while a short street play highlighted its social and family impact.
Speakers also referred to the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda, urging young people to develop self-control and strong character.
The programme was attended by writers, social workers and local residents. Participants pledged to stay away from drugs and spread awareness about the dangers of substance abuse.
