BHOPAL: Traffic and civic issues in Ward 31 of Zone 7, Tulsi Nagar, were reviewed during an inspection of the area by councillor Brajula.
During the inspection, concerns were raised over mechanic vehicles parked on the road in front of Tarun Market. Instructions were issued for the vehicles to be removed to help ease traffic movement.
Concrete work is also under way along both sides of the road. The work is expected to create additional space for pedestrian movement.
The inspection also covered overgrown vegetation and trees near shops and houses, drain cleaning and timely waste collection. The condition and maintenance of street lights and a residential garden were also reviewed.
Residents said regular maintenance would be important to ensure that the civic works provide sustained improvements in cleanliness, pedestrian movement and local traffic conditions.
