JAIPUR, Rajasthan : Delhi defeated Rajasthan by seven wickets in Match 43 of the 2026 Indian Premier League at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Friday, chasing down a target of 226 with five balls to spare.
Rajasthan posted 225 for 6 after opting to bat first. Captain Riyan Parag led from the front with 90 off 50 balls, hitting eight fours and five sixes. He was supported by Dhruv Jurel, who scored 42 off 30 balls, while Donovan Ferreira provided a late flourish with an unbeaten 47 off 14 deliveries, including six sixes.
Mitchell Starc was the pick of the Delhi bowlers with figures of 3 for 40, taking key wickets in the middle overs. Axar Patel and T Natarajan picked up one wicket each.
In reply, Delhi made a strong start through Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul, who added 110 runs in 9.3 overs. Nissanka scored 62 off 33 balls, while Rahul anchored the chase with 75 off 40 balls. Nitish Rana contributed a quick 33 off 17 before being dismissed.
Tristan Stubbs (18 not out) and Ashutosh Sharma (25 not out) guided Delhi home, finishing at 226 for 3 in 19.1 overs.
Rahul was named Player of the Match for his innings, which also took him to the top of the run charts with 358 runs in eight matches.
The defeat leaves Rajasthan still without a home win in Jaipur this season, while Delhi carry momentum into the final phase of the league.
