NEW DELHI — The student group Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has stated that three key demands remain unresolved following the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The youth-led political movement, which has been organising nationwide demonstrations over alleged paper leaks and irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), considers the minister’s departure a key milestone. However, representatives affirmed that the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar will persist until their remaining grievances are met.

Financial compensation: A demand of Rs 1 crore in compensation for the families of candidates who died by suicide following examination-related stress.

Legal protection: Formal assurances that no disciplinary or police action will be taken against participating student demonstrators.

Public apology: A formal public apology from the Delhi Police and the Rapid Action Force (RAF) regarding physical clashes during recent rallies near Parliament.
The minister’s resignation follows weeks of public pressure, student strikes, and sit-in demonstrations. The CJP movement—launched by political strategist Abhijeet Dipke originally formed as a satirical collective online before evolving into a major advocacy group demanding examination system reforms and accountability.
While demonstrators celebrated the news at protest sites, CJP leadership reiterated via social media that the group will maintain its presence at Jantar Mantar until all outstanding demands are fulfilled.
