MP tourism and hospitality sector set for growth, says CM

INDORE: Madhya Pradesh Dr Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said investment in hotels and tourism infrastructure could support economic activity and create employment opportunities across the state.

CM made the remarks while inaugurating a privately owned hotel in Indore on Tuesday. He said the state’s tourism sector was expanding, with modern hospitality facilities expected to support visitors, businesses and commercial events.

He also highlighted Indore’s importance ahead of Simhastha, scheduled to be held in Ujjain in 2028. Given Indore’s proximity to Ujjain, the city could see increased movement of tourists, devotees and business visitors during the event, he said.

CM said hotels with modern facilities could help accommodate visitors and host corporate meetings, business events and other commercial activities. He added that the new hotel would strengthen Indore’s hospitality infrastructure and support tourism and trade.

The chief minister also said investment in such facilities could contribute to regional economic development and generate employment opportunities. However, the extent of any increase in visitor numbers or jobs was not specified.

Lok Sabha MP Shankar Lalwani, MLAs Ramesh Mendola and Madhu Verma, and other officials and guests attended the inauguration.
