INDORE: A Municipal Corporation water tanker went out of control and rammed into several vehicles in Indore on Thursday afternoon, leaving four people injured. A video of the incident shows people running to safety as the tanker moved uncontrollably on the road.
The accident reportedly occurred after the tanker’s brakes failed. Eyewitnesses said the tanker hit several cars and motorcycles, causing panic among commuters.
The driver turned the tanker towards the footpath to stop it, preventing a bigger accident. Three to four cars and two motorcycles were damaged in the collision.
A person travelling in the tanker was also reported injured, but no major casualties have been reported. After the incident, angry locals damaged the tanker. The driver fled the spot.
Police reached the scene and started an investigation into the accident.
