Kishor confident of Jan Suraaj win in Patna seats

Nawada: Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has expressed confidence that his party will win both the Patna Graduates’ and Teachers’ constituencies in the upcoming Bihar Legislative Council elections.

According to media reports, Kishor made the remarks while campaigning in Nawada for Jan Suraaj candidates Anuj Singh and Divya Jyoti, who are contesting the Graduates’ and Teachers’ constituencies respectively.

Kishor appealed to voters to support what he described as a political change in Bihar. He said the council elections, which involve a large number of educated voters, would be an opportunity for them to make their views known through the ballot.

He also highlighted issues including better pay and dignity for teachers, employment opportunities for graduates and accountability of elected representatives.

Kishor urged voters to support his party’s candidates and said a strong performance by Jan Suraaj would send a message to political representatives across the state.

Jan Suraaj is contesting all eight seats in the upcoming council elections.

Polling is scheduled to be held from 8am to 4pm on October 23, while counting of votes will take place on October 27.

Graduates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria and registered on the electoral roll can vote in the Graduates’ constituency.

Teachers with the required experience in recognised institutions and valid electoral registration are eligible to vote in the Teachers’ constituencies.
