NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has dismissed speculation about errors in marking or data entry as “misleading”, even as discussions continue over the timing of Class 12 results 2026.
According to media reports, the results are expected in the third week of May 2026. However, CBSE officials have clarified that there is no delay caused by technical glitches or mistakes in uploading marks.
The board said the evaluation process is running through a “foolproof verification system”, where answer sheets and marks are cross-checked multiple times to ensure accuracy and fairness. Media reports had suggested possible issues in copy checking and data processing, but CBSE has firmly rejected these claims.
As per media reports, the slight delay in result preparation is linked to the detailed verification and compilation process being followed under the new digital evaluation system, which is designed to reduce errors and improve transparency.
Officials reiterated that the system is functioning smoothly and students should rely only on official CBSE updates, not social media rumours.
Once declared, results will be available on cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, DigiLocker, and UMANG app.
