MP Receives National Honour for Ayushman Bharat

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has received a national award under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana for its performance in biometric-based pre-authorisation. The state was recognised in the “Best Performing Large State – Highest Pre-authorisations with Biometric Authentication” category.

The award was given for the effective use of biometric authentication in the pre-authorisation process for health insurance claims under the scheme. According to the state government, the system has helped improve transparency, speed and efficiency in providing healthcare benefits.

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla welcomed the recognition and said the award reflects the state’s efforts to improve healthcare services through the use of technology and better governance. He congratulated the Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Madhya Pradesh team, district officials, hospitals and all staff involved in implementing the scheme.

Shukla said the state government, led by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, is working to make healthcare services more transparent, effective and focused on public welfare.

The award was presented during a national review meeting organised by the National Health Authority (NHA) at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in New Delhi. Health and Family Welfare Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava presented the award to Arvind Shah, Chief Executive Officer of Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Madhya Pradesh.

Senior officials from the National Health Authority and the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) also attended the event.
