Bhopal Metro Gets New Timetable

Bhopal Metro will introduce a new timetable from July 25 after receiving approval for its signalling system from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS). The approval allows regular operations on both tracks between Subhash Nagar and AIIMS stations.

Under the revised schedule, trains will run every 15 minutes during peak hours from 9:00 am to 10:30 am and from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. During non-peak hours, services will operate every 30 minutes. The first train will leave Subhash Nagar at 9:00 am and AIIMS at 9:30 am, while the last services will depart at 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm respectively. A total of 50 trips will be operated each day in both directions.

The improved frequency is expected to benefit office workers, students, patients visiting AIIMS Bhopal, railway passengers using Rani Kamalapati station and daily commuters.

Passengers can buy digital tickets through the MPMRCL mobile app and pay using UPI, QR codes and e-wallets. The metro operator is also offering promotional discounts, including 5% off return tickets and 10% off group bookings. App users will receive bonus credit of 8% to 15% on eligible e-wallet recharges.

The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd said the upgraded signalling system and revised timetable will provide faster, safer and more reliable travel across the city.
