During the campaign, the municipal corporation took action against those violating sanitation rules. A total of 33 cases were registered, and Rs 8,300 was collected as spot fines.

The penalties included 20 cases of littering in public places, nine cases of using single-use plastic, one case of dumping C&D waste on a road, two cases of not keeping separate waste bins at commercial establishments, and one case related to improper transportation of bulk waste.

The civic body said the campaign will continue to improve cleanliness and help prevent the spread of diseases.
