Betul news: Betul district extra high voltage power transmission lines created a record by operating without a single breakdown for 1,500 consecutive days.
Twenty Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission lines managed by Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MP Transco) in Betul district have established a strong reliability record.
Energy Minister Pradhuman Singh Tomar announced that these power corridors operated for nearly 1,500 consecutive days without recording a single line trip or technical breakdown.
54-year-old lines maintain full efficiency
The achievement highlights the strength of infrastructure built in 1972. Lines set up 54 years ago continue to work at full capacity without any failure.
Across Madhya Pradesh, a total of 593 EHV lines under MP Transco have run smoothly without breakdowns for the last four years. Energy Minister Tomar praised field engineers, technical workers, and maintenance teams for keeping the grid stable.
Smooth power movement from Sarni plant
Uninterrupted transmission around the Sarni region ensured continuous power supply from local power plants. Because the network remained free of line trips:
Zero power cuts: Power generation units faced no forced reductions or cuts.
Stable flow: Electricity generated at Sarni Power House moved directly into the main grid without delay.
Higher grid safety: Continuous flow protected power machinery from sudden voltage drops.

- Interstate link: 220 kV Sarni–Kalmeshwar transmission line.
