MPPGCL Marks Fresh Achievement As Director (Commerce) Office Gets ISO 9001:2015 Certificate

MPPGCL, the Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited, has secured the ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Director (Commerce) office at its Bhopal headquarters, announced on Saturday, marking the company’s steady progress towards standardising its work processes and improving overall efficiency.

MPPGCL Office Becomes Fifteenth Unit To Earn International Quality Recognition

MPPGCL confirmed that this recognition takes the total number of its ISO-certified offices to 15. The certification was awarded to the Director (Commerce) office for maintaining high international standards in its day-to-day operations. This achievement reflects the company’s continued push to bring greater accountability, consistency and quality control across its various departments.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard is a globally recognised benchmark for quality management systems. Organisations that receive this certification are required to demonstrate strong internal processes, consistent service delivery and a commitment to continuous improvement. For a public sector power utility like MPPGCL, this certification signals that its administrative and commercial functions now meet international best practices.

MPPGCL Lists Fourteen Offices Already Holding The Certification

MPPGCL had earlier secured the same certification for 14 other offices under its administration. These include the Chief Engineer (Production Stores), Chief Engineer (Operation and Maintenance, Hydro Power), Chief Engineer (Fuel Management), and the office of the Executive Director (Engineering) and Joint Director (COGHS).

The list also covers the Managing Director’s office, the Director (Technical) office, Chief Engineer (Corporate Services), Executive Director (Material Management), Chief Engineer (Project Production), and Chief Engineer (Civil Engineering). Additionally, the Chief Financial Officer’s office, Chief Engineer (Renovation and Modernisation), and the Chief Safety Officer’s office have all received the same recognition earlier.

Each of these offices has been functioning in line with international quality benchmarks, according to the company. The consistent addition of certified offices over time shows a structured, department-wide effort rather than an isolated achievement.

MPPGCL Managing Director Praises Staff For Sustained Quality Standards

MPPGCL’s Managing Director, Manjeet Singh, congratulated Director (Commercial) Milind Bhandakkar along with all staff members of the office for this achievement. He said the office plays a vital role in the company’s progress and in the successful execution of its projects.

Singh added that the certification was possible only because employees consistently maintained high-quality standards in their working methods. He noted that such recognitions reinforce the company’s broader mission of operational excellence and reliable power generation across Madhya Pradesh.

Officials associated with the process said that certification exercises of this nature typically involve detailed audits of documentation, workflow systems and staff training records. Meeting these requirements across 15 separate offices within a state-run power company reflects sustained institutional effort rather than a one-time exercise.
