MP CM Highlights Ken-Betwa Project to Support Local Growers

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh CM Dr Mohan Yadav on Saturday pledged continued state support for the agricultural sector, telling local growers that expanding access to modern machinery and irrigation infrastructure remains a top priority.

Speaking virtually from New Delhi at the Balram Krishi Mahotsav in Chhatarpur, the CM highlighted regional infrastructure investments, including the Ken-Betwa Link Project, designed to improve water availability across Bundelkhand.

‘Farmers produce the food that sustains society, and the state government is committed to addressing their concerns and ensuring access to all necessary facilities,’ the CM said.

The festival aimed to prepare growers for the Rabi sowing season by introducing advanced cultivation techniques, high-yield seeds and digital resource distribution systems. Experts conducted workshops on crop management, while local growers shared innovations in organic farming and machinery rental models.

State Forest Minister Dilip Ahirwar attended in person, presenting certificates of appreciation to 10 progressive farmers and honouring local students for academic achievements.
