BHOPAL: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Madhya Pradesh leader Ashish Usha Agrawal as its national media convenor.
The appointment was announced on Sept. 23. Agrawal had joined the BJP’s national media team as a media co-convenor on Aug. 17, and was elevated to the top media post 37 days later.
A resident of Gwalior, Agrawal has been associated with the BJP since 2010. Before entering active politics, he worked in the banking sector.
He joined the Madhya Pradesh BJP’s media panel in 2017, became a state spokesperson in 2021 and was appointed state media in-charge in April 2023.
As national media convenor, Agrawal will oversee the party’s media operations and communication activities at the national level.
