Bhopal: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Friday launched the Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Bus Service and PM E-Bus Sewa in the state.
Officials said the launch marks the return of a state-run bus service in Madhya Pradesh after a gap of 21 years.
State Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh said 351 buses will operate under a public-private partnership (PPP) model as part of the Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Bus Service.
The buses were flagged off from seven cities — Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Rewa, Dewas, Katni and Bhind.
According to the state government, the services are aimed at improving connectivity between urban and rural areas while providing safer and more accessible public transport.
