BHOPAL: West Central Railway’s Bhopal Division continued its safety awareness campaign on Sunday as part of International Level Crossing Awareness Week, being observed from June 6 to June 12.
Railway officials held awareness programmes at level crossings across the division to inform road users about safety rules and precautions.
During the campaign, officials distributed safety pamphlets and advised motorists and pedestrians to follow safety guidelines while crossing railway tracks.
More than 50 road users were counselled at various level crossings, including Gate No. 10 on the Semarkhedi-Kanjia section and Gate No. 274 on the Sorai-Sumer section. They were encouraged to follow level crossing safety rules and avoid risky behaviour.
The railway administration urged people not to cross when gates are closed and to follow all safety instructions. It said public awareness and cooperation are important to prevent accidents and ensure safe train operations.
