PANNA: Two motorcyclists were killed in a serious road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Panna district on Sunday after an auto-rickshaw, a motorcycle and a Bolero utility vehicle collided while attempting to avoid a tractor that had reportedly entered the wrong lane.
The crash occurred at around 3 p.m., according to eyewitnesses. The impact was severe, leaving the motorcycle riders dead at the scene and causing extensive damage to the vehicles involved.
The auto-rickshaw driver sustained serious injuries and became trapped inside the vehicle’s cabin. Local residents and police personnel took about 30 minutes to rescue him. He was later taken to a district hospital for treatment. The Bolero driver was also injured and hospitalised.
Eyewitnesses said the tractor had moved into the wrong lane, forcing other motorists to take evasive action. The resulting collision involved all three vehicles.
The bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem examination. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
