Bhopal: A tiger was reportedly seen near Kaliyasot Dam in Bhopal, according to media reports. A video, said to be recorded around five to six days ago, surfaced on Wednesday and shows a tiger crossing a road before disappearing into nearby bushes.
As per media reports, wildlife experts said the Kaliyasot, Kerwa and nearby forest areas are known tiger habitats. They noted that tiger movement has been recorded in these forests over the years, and such sightings are not unusual.
According to media reports, the forests around Kaliyasot, Kerwa, Samardha and nearby areas are home to several resident tigers. Tiger movement has also been reported in the Kolar and Berasia forest belt in the past.
Experts have advised people travelling through forest roads, especially at night, to remain alert, avoid stopping unnecessarily, and maintain a safe distance if they spot any wild animal. Forest officials have not issued any separate advisory regarding the viral video so far.
