Punjab Kings (PBKS) spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has come under scrutiny after alleged visuals of him vaping during a team flight surfaced on social media, according to media reports and viral videos circulating online.

The controversy reportedly emerged from a travel vlog uploaded by PBKS fast bowler Arshdeep Singh while the squad travelled to Hyderabad for an IPL 2026 fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Social media users claimed that the original version of the video briefly showed Chahal appearing to vape while seated beside teammate Shashank Singh on the flight.
The footage was reportedly removed from a revised version of the vlog uploaded later online. However, clips allegedly taken from the original upload continued to circulate widely across social media platforms, triggering debate among cricket fans.
Neither Chahal nor PBKS have publicly commented on the matter. There has also been no official statement from the BCCI regarding any possible disciplinary action.
The incident comes shortly after Riyan Parag faced criticism over a separate vaping-related controversy during the ongoing IPL season. The Indian cricket board had earlier warned franchises and players over conduct that could affect the image of the tournament.
Under Indian aviation regulations, smoking and vaping are prohibited on commercial flights. Reports have suggested that any confirmed breach could invite scrutiny from both cricket authorities and aviation regulators.
