MUMBAI: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s weekly Sunday darshan outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, briefly turned chaotic after a fan appeared to collapse amid a large crowd gathered to see the actor on Sunday.
Videos circulating on social media showed people attempting to assist the individual by offering water and clearing space around them as hundreds of fans gathered outside the residence.

The condition of the fan was not immediately known, and there was no official statement on the incident.
Bachchan stepped outside Jalsa as part of his long-running Sunday tradition of greeting admirers gathered outside his home. The weekly appearance continues to draw large crowds, with many fans travelling from different parts of the country for a glimpse of the veteran actor.
The incident has also sparked fresh discussion online over crowd management and security arrangements during the public gathering.
Sunday’s appearance marked Bachchan’s first public outing after rumours regarding his alleged hospitalisation at Lilavati Hospital surfaced earlier this week. Reports later said the actor was fine, while Bachchan appeared to dismiss the speculation through a cryptic social media post.
On the work front, Bachchan will reprise his role as Ashwatthama in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. He will also be seen in Section 84, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and starring Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee.
