INDORE: A man was allegedly killed by his friend during a drinking session in Indore on Tuesday after an argument turned violent, police said.
The incident occurred in the Aerodrome area at around 1 p.m. Police said the victim and the accused were drinking together when a dispute broke out.
According to investigators, the accused allegedly struck the victim with a liquor bottle before attacking him with a nearby water pump motor. The victim suffered severe head injuries and died at the scene.
The accused fled after the incident and police have launched a search operation to locate him.
Police said the victim worked for a private bank and was living alone. Officers reached the scene after receiving information about the incident, sent the body for a post-mortem examination and registered a murder case.
The motive behind the argument was not immediately known. Further investigation is underway.
