Bhopal Division of West Central Railway will run four special superfast trains between Bhopal and Rewa to handle the extra passenger rush during the Raksha Bandhan festival.

Bhopal Division of West Central Railway has announced four special superfast trains between Bhopal and Rewa for Raksha Bandhan to help passengers travel comfortably during the festive season.

The railway administration said the special trains will run on selected dates between August 25 and August 31, 2026. Passengers have been advised to book tickets in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience.

Bhopal Offers Extra Capacity for Festival Travellers

Raksha Bandhan is one of the busiest travel periods on the Bhopal–Rewa route, with many passengers travelling between the state capital and the Vindhya region. To meet the seasonal demand, the railway has introduced additional superfast services in both directions.

All the special trains will halt at major stations including Bhopal, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Bina, Sagar, Damoh, Katni Murwara, Maihar, Satna and Rewa. These stoppages will benefit passengers travelling from important towns across Madhya Pradesh.

The additional services are expected to reduce waiting lists on regular trains during the festival period and provide more travel choices for families.

Bhopal Advises Passengers to Book Tickets Early

West Central Railway has appealed to passengers to make advance reservations as demand is expected to remain high during Raksha Bandhan. Travellers have also been advised to check train timings, seat availability and service updates through the official railway website and the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) before starting their journey.

Railway officials said the temporary services have been introduced to improve passenger convenience and ensure smoother travel during one of the busiest festive periods of the year.
