BHOPAL: Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai visited the Gufa Mandir campus on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, to inspect the ongoing construction of a new cow shelter (Gaushala).
During her visit, she instructed municipal officers and contractors to complete all construction tasks within the set deadline while strictly maintaining high quality standards.
The Mayor examined various parts of the construction site, including the ramps, stairs, and structural framework. She asked officials to follow a phased work plan to ensure that every stage meets civic safety and durability benchmarks. Members of the Mayor-in-Council Manoj Rathore, Zone 2 Chairperson Vinita Soni, Councillor Saroj Aseri, Gufa Mandir Management Committee members, and senior civic officers accompanied her during the field inspection.
Massive Plantation Drive Launched in Bhopal
On the same day, Mayor Malti Rai participated in a massive tree plantation campaign titled “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) campus. Organized with support from various local organizations, participants collectively planted 1,001 saplings across the venue grounds.
The plantation drive saw active involvement from social groups and local institutions, including the Dainik Bhaskar Group, Karunadham Ashram, and IGRMS administration. Prominent figures present included Karunadham Ashram head Gurudev Shri Sudesh Shandilya Ji Maharaj, ADG (Railway) Raja Babu Singh, Zone Chairperson Aarti Aneja, and senior social worker Aruneshwar Singhdeo (Baba).
