CM Praises PM Modi, Highlights MSME Growth in MP

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Sunday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and said India has emerged as a strong economic power over the past 12 years.

Speaking at the “Samriddh MSME–Viksit Madhya Pradesh” programme at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in Bhopal, CM said the country had made significant progress under PM Modi’s leadership.

CM also criticised Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, alleging that West Bengal had suffered under successive governments. He said communist administrations had weakened the state in the past and claimed Banerjee’s government further harmed its development.

Referring to Modi’s international standing, CM said that when Modi was chief minister of Gujarat, the United States did not grant him a visa. He added that world leaders now welcome and recognise the prime minister on the global stage.

“The country is progressing under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and India has emerged as a strong economic power,” CM said.

The Chief Minister said the Madhya Pradesh government was continuing to support young people, entrepreneurs, industrialists and investors through various initiatives aimed at boosting economic growth.

According to the CM, around 12.5 million people are employed through micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the state. He said the government had cleared approximately Rs 3,750 crore in pending subsidy payments to MSME units over the past two and a half years.

The government aims to strengthen MSMEs and promote domestic and international exports, CM said.
