Madhya Pradesh Police emergency service Dial-112 showed fast action and saved a young man who ate poison in Panna district. The incident took place in the Hardua post area under Simaria police station limits. Quick medical care helped secure the victim’s life in time.
Desperate call to Bhopal control room
The emergency started when a youth called the state-level Dial-112 control room in Bhopal. He told the operator that he had eaten sulphas chemical pills. He was in extreme pain and could not give his exact location or details clearly.
The control room team used technical tools to trace his mobile phone signal immediately. They sent the exact location to Simaria police station, Hardua police post, and the nearest Dial-112 First Response Vehicle (FRV).
Found unconscious under a teak tree
Police teams started a fast search drive in the targeted area. They found the young man lying unconscious under a teak tree near the Padariya turn.
A motorcycle stood parked near him, and open sulphas pills lay scattered on the ground. His physical condition was very serious.
55-kilometer emergency drive in 40 minutes
Dial-112 pilot Devendra Kushwaha and constable Vinod Dwivedi acted without delay. They lifted the youth into the emergency vehicle and drove toward Community Health Centre in Pawai.
The police team covered 55 kilometers in just 40 minutes during peak hours. Doctors at Pawai hospital began treatment as soon as the vehicle arrived. After basic care, doctors referred the patient to Katni District Hospital for detailed recovery. Medical staff confirmed that reaching the emergency ward on time saved his life.
