Tiger Shroff firing case investigation took a new turn after the Mumbai and Indore crime branches arrested a 22-year-old man from Haryana in Indore on Saturday over his alleged involvement in the shooting incident targeting the Bollywood actor’s car.
The accused, identified as Pranjal Thakran, a resident of Sonipat in Haryana, is suspected of being involved in the alleged conspiracy and supplying weapons. Police have not yet disclosed details of his precise role in the case.
Suspect had come to Indore for brother’s treatment
According to preliminary information, Thakran arrived in Indore around 5 days before his arrest to seek medical treatment for his brother. The Mumbai Crime Branch contacted the Indore Crime Branch on Thursday night, following which the 2 teams coordinated to trace the suspect.
Indore Crime Branch ADCP Rajesh Dandotiya said Mumbai Police had approached local authorities over the suspect’s alleged involvement in the firing case. Acting on the information received, police traced his location and arrested him with the assistance of the local crime branch.
The Mumbai Crime Branch is expected to question Thakran about the alleged conspiracy, the supply of weapons and his contacts with other suspects.
Tiger Shroff’s Car Targeted in Mumbai Firing
The incident took place on the evening of October 18 in Mumbai’s Juhu area, when five to six rounds were allegedly fired at Shroff’s car. The actor escaped serious harm, while his driver and a vlogger were reported injured.
Following the shooting, a person identified as Anil Pandit claimed on social media to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and took responsibility for the attack. However, the alleged gang links of the newly arrested suspect have not been established.
Police investigate alleged network
Investigators are examining the roles of the accused and whether they provided weapons, logistical support or other assistance in carrying out the attack.
According to the supplied report, police have arrested 10 suspects in the case so far. The latest arrest is expected to help investigators establish possible links between the accused and determine how the weapons were allegedly sourced and supplied.
The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations against the accused have not yet been established in court.
