‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ OTT release in India on June 5

MUMBAI: Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ will begin streaming in India on June 5, with a special digital premiere scheduled a day earlier at 7 pm, the platform has confirmed.

The film will open with a grand digital premiere on June 4, followed by full availability on OTT from June 5, according to an announcement made on the platform’s official social media handle. The release is being positioned as a major digital launch for the action thriller.

Internationally, the film has already premiered on Netflix on May 14 in an extended version titled ‘Raw & Undekha’. The cut is being described as an uncensored edition with additional sequences compared to the Indian theatrical release.

The availability of the extended version has generated discussion on social media, with users sharing mixed reactions. While some viewers have praised the intensity and expanded presentation, others have pointed to differences between the theatrical and OTT versions, suggesting that edits altered the overall viewing experience. Claims circulating online refer to additional sequences and more explicit content in the international cut; however, these remain social media opinions.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is directed by Aditya Dhar and stars Ranveer Singh as an Indian intelligence operative based in Karachi.

The ensemble cast includes Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan , Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun.

Industry observers say the staggered release strategy, with an early digital premiere followed by full streaming, reflects a growing trend in film distribution aimed at building anticipation and sustaining audience engagement ahead of OTT releases.
