IRCTC’s Bharat Gaurav tourist train will leave from Indore on 15 September 2026, giving pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh a chance to visit major religious sites, including Ram Lalla darshan in Ayodhya, on a single trip.
Bhopal: Pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh will soon have the chance to visit some of the country’s most important religious sites on a single train journey. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will run a Bharat Gaurav tourist train covering Puri, Gangasagar, Gaya, Varanasi and Ram Lalla darshan in Ayodhya.
The train will leave Indore on 15 September 2026. It will pass through several major stations in Madhya Pradesh, including Ujjain, Shujalpur, Sehore, Rani Kamlapati (Bhopal), Itarsi, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni and Anuppur, allowing passengers to board from any of these stops.
The pilgrimage will run for 10 nights and 11 days. During this time, travellers will visit Puri, Gangasagar, Gaya, Varanasi and Ayodhya, along with other places of religious and historical importance.
Fares have been set by class. A sleeper (economy) ticket costs Rs 19,600 per person. A 3AC (standard) ticket is priced at Rs 31,850, while a 2AC (comfort) ticket costs Rs 41,900 per person.
The package includes several facilities. These are travel in the Bharat Gaurav train’s special LHB coaches, meals during the journey and at the destinations, road transport in quality buses, sightseeing at each stop, accommodation as per the itinerary, a tour escort, travel insurance, on-board security and housekeeping services.
“The package is designed to give pilgrims a comfortable and complete religious journey in one trip,” IRCTC officials said.
Interested travellers can book their tickets online through the IRCTC website, www.irctctourism.com. Bookings can also be made through authorised agents.
