Prashant Kishor Addresses Teachers and Graduates

Sitamarhi: Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor called on teachers and graduates to use their votes to hold elected representatives accountable during a meeting in Sitamarhi, Bihar.

Kishor said the election was not about forming or removing a government but about ensuring that those in power answered for their performance and fulfilled their commitments.

Addressing concerns over teachers’ pay, he pledged to secure Seventh Pay Commission benefits for teachers. He also promised 10,000 jobs for educated unemployed graduates, linking the commitment to employment opportunities in the region.

Kishor urged voters to assess candidates on their merits and shortcomings rather than their political affiliations or caste identities. He positioned Jan Suraaj as an alternative focused on Bihar’s development and employment.

He also criticised political leaders, alleging that some prioritised their positions and family interests over public welfare. He said elected representatives should remember that voters could hold them accountable for failing to deliver on their promises.

The meeting was part of Jan Suraaj’s outreach to teachers and graduates ahead of the Bihar Legislative Council elections.
